We’re back for 2026!

Filmmaking friends! Welcome back to another year of East Tennessee’s most exciting, unique and popular filmmaking competition - the 7-Day Shootout. Each team of filmmakers will have 7 days to write, shoot, edit and deliver a 4-7 minute narrative short film. The kick-off will be June 10 and your film will be submitted on June 17. The screening of all the films along with the presentation of awards will be held Sunday, June 28 beginning at 4 pm at the Lambert Recital Hall on the campus of Maryville College.

The 7-Day Shootout has been a mainstay of the East Tennessee film community for 20 years and is designed for both seasoned filmmakers as well as aspiring filmmakers.

We only have 30 spots available and once those are gone, we will close the team registration. Each registered team will receive two passes to the screening and awards.
