Things have been pretty quite in the world of fashion when it comes to the fashion sense of women in power positions of politics. That is until the last year when the new First Ladies of politics have newly arrived on the political scene. First Lady Michelle Obama of the US and France’s First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy have been lighting up the political fashion headlines in the past few days as they represent their countries and presidential husbands at the G2 Summit in London. We have not seen this kind of fashion sense scrutiny of women in politics since Princess Diana or Jackie Kennedy.
