2009 Holiday Family Movies
Usually around the times of the holidays the amount of family friendly movies is pretty slim pickings as most Hollywood studios set this time of year aside for all their Oscar contenders. The last few years we have seen a few kid movies do pretty well at this time of year and it looks like a full crop of “family friendly movies” that are coming to theaters over the next few weeks. The five movies that I am referring to are A Christmas Carol, Planet 51, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Princess And The Frog and finally Alvin and the Chipmunks 2: The Squekuel. Having a family myself I can really appreciate all these movies especially coming out during the winter months when playing outside is not always an option and taking the whole family to a good matinee is a welcome diversion.
