The auto industry saw a huge spike in car sales this past week thanks to the government rebate program CARS better known as the cash for clunkers program. Only one problem with this program is that the 1 billion dollars that was set aside to hopefully keep people buying cars thru August only thing is that the program got such a huge response that sales blew by that 1 billion dollar mark in a matter of five days! Now the government is looking for more ways to get a couple more billion dollars to keep the program going, where do you think all this money is coming from? Taxes anyone?
