Making Travel Plans For The Year

Oasis of the Seas - Royal Caribbean

Oasis of the Seas - Royal Caribbean

How’s it going internet, earlier today I wrote a new post over at the travel blog. I was feeling a bit of the travel blues earlier as I was staring at the upcoming calendar and realized that we don’t have any significant vacations planned for the upcoming year. Sure we have a couple of weekend getaways planned but no get away for a whole week vacations are planned yet and thinking about that in the middle of February is kind of a downer! Anyway that lead me on a search down the Google rabbit hole to a recent article on the the rather upbeat perspective of people booking cruises for their vacations. I had thought that all sectors of the travel market were on a downward slide this past year but apparently that is not the case.

Who Will Have The Wii Killer Sony Or Microsoft?

Motion Control Gaming Battle

Motion Control Gaming Battle

There is a new battle front in the land of gaming that will be firing off this fall internet and that is what I decided to write about today in my new blogshot over at the tech blog. Sony just recently announced that they are pushing back the release date of their new motion control device called Arc (last i heard anyway). It was originally due to be released this spring but that has now been officially pushed back to the fall sometime although we were not given an exact date. You had to know this was coming since Sony has not really released any new information about it since E3 last year. This push back sets up what could be an epic battle between Sony and Microsoft as they are due to release Natal late this year as well. All I have to really say is that it’s a great time to be a gamer 8-)

Where’s My W2 I Need My Tax Refund Now!

Tax Season

Tax Season

What’s up internet I told you I was going to try and write up some new blogshots a little more frequently and this would be two in one day! Anyway this one is a little rant about something I hear about quite a bit this time of year as my day job has me answering phones for a company that mails out a lot of w2’s. Needless to say it’s that time of year when we all start collecting our tax documents to so we can hurry up and file our taxes so those of us that are fortunate enough to be getting a refund can get that money as fast as we can. Anyway the title of this post is probably the number one question that is coming into the call center right now and needless to say it can get a little old pretty quick, I’m just saying

Meditation Classes Part Of High School Curriculum

Meditation Classes

Meditation Classes

Hello internet I know it’s been a while since my last blogshot but I hope to be picking up the pace now in the coming months and get back to a regular writing schedule. Today I wrote a little bit about an article I saw last week that was just to interesting to pass up writing about. I read a news blurb about a new pilot program that will be teaching high school boy specifically that basics of meditation to help them deal with the daily grind of being a teenager now a days. What struck me first when I saw this was why has no one thought of this type of program for school aged kids before and if they have why has not become a more popular class?

EA Sports Sticking With Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods

Hello internet I posted a new blogshot over at the sports blog about what turned out to be one of the biggest sports stories of the last year even though it really had nothing to do with the sport of golf at all. I am of course referring to the demise of the Tiger Woods squeaky clean public persona that went down in a brilliant blaze of glory. I am curious how you feel about what has been happening in the wake of all that mess and certain sponsors dropping Tiger Woods and others like EA Sports recently announcing that they are sticking with him. Say what? Yep you read that right in case you did not see it some where else they have gone ahead with their plans to release the new online Tiger Woods golf sim game later this year.

To App Or Not To App

Planet Of The Apps

Planet Of The Apps

The benefits of having apps on your phone that is the question today internet. The iPhone app store launched a mobile software revolution a little less than three years ago and the world of cell phones has never been the same. The more cool little apps that I add to my Blackberry in the hopes to save time only adds to my addiction to looking at and having my phone with me at all times. Which makes me wonder if all this app technology that I keep playing with is saving me time or just drawing me away from more important things that need to get done. I don’t know about you internet but every time I seem to add a technological advancement like the apps on my phone in the interest of saving time I seem to have less time than what I started with 8-O

Holiday Parking

Hello internet and to all of you that have chosen to once again ignore the opportunity to do all your holiday shopping online, I say to you that now is the time to panic 8-O You are running out of time as the big reveal day is upon us and now is the time when so many of us start the mad scramble to run to stores and subject ourselves to the mass chaos that has become Christmas shopping! Yikes and gadzooks internet what have you been doing for the past few weeks that you have not managed to get one present for any of your friends or family yet? I am simply asking because I myself have managed to paint myself into the very predicament and it makes me feel a little more positive about my situation knowing that I am not the only one to have done this. I know because there seems to be about a million or so other holiday shopping procrastinators in the stores lately ;-)

Piecing Together The Right Sales Team

Finding The Right Sales Team

Finding The Right Sales Team

Hello internet today’s newest blogshot is posted over at the sales blog and today I felt like talking about the importance of your sales team. You see internet I think that we can all agree that you can have the greatest product idea the world has ever seen but if you don’t have someone selling it then guess what you no one will ever know about your great product. Now beyond just selling which plenty of people are pretty good at, not including myself in that group as I hate to sell stuff. Anyway I think the best products have the best sales teams behind them shining the best light on their product and constantly putting a positive spin out there. What do you think internet, is it all about the product or does the real action happen when you put together a great sales team?

PSP Has A Good Year PSPGo Not So Much

PSP 2009 Review

PSP 2009 Review

Hello internet…. today I was reading an article over at IGN dot com that was taking a look back at what went well for the Sony PSP and some of the things that did not go so well. I think that anyone that has a pulse in the gaming world understands that the PSP had one of their better years in terms of the amount and quality of games that came out this year. However they also managed to make yet again another giant price point FAIL when they introduced the PSP Go at $249??? WTF? Who ever is pricing the hardware over at Sony needs their head examined!
